What’s the stoic way to handle toxic people?

Toxic people can really drain your energy, especially when you’re just trying to vibe and focus on your own goals. I’ve been thinking a lot about how to deal with them without letting it mess with my head, and stoicism has some solid principles that help.

One thing that’s stuck with me is the idea of focusing only on what you can control. You can’t change how someone else acts, but you can control how you respond. Instead of getting caught up in their negativity, try to detach and see it as their issue, not yours. Easier said than done, I know, but it’s worth practicing.

Another stoic tip is to ask yourself, “Will this matter in a week? A month? A year?” Most of the time, the answer is no. It helps put things into perspective and stops you from overreacting.
