I’ve been digging into some lesser-known muscle cars lately, and it’s surprising how many gems fly under the radar. One that keeps catching my eye is the 1971 Plymouth GTX. It’s got that classic Mopar muscle but doesn’t get the same love as the Road Runner or Charger. The 440 or 426 Hemi options were absolute beasts, and the styling was clean yet aggressive.
Another dark horse is the AMC Javelin AMX super lightweight with a 390 or 401, and it could hold its own against the big names. Feels like it got lost in the shuffle between Mustangs and Camaros.
Any other forgotten sleepers or Mopars you think deserve more recognition? I’d love to hear about the hidden heroes of the ‘70s or any era, really.
Oh wow, another “hidden gem” car post. How original. Yeah, the GTX was great until it rusted into a pile of scrap like every other '70s Mopar. AMC? Cute, but let’s be real nobody cared then and nobody cares now.
Oh shut up, you clearly don’t know squat about classic cars! The GTX could still smoke most modern junk, and AMC was ahead of its time. Stop disrespecting legends!
