Urban Farming: Community Builder or Just Another Trend?

I’ve noticed more community gardens popping up in my neighborhood, and it’s got me wondering about their real impact. On one hand, there’s something special about neighbors working together to grow food sharing tips, swapping produce, maybe even solving a tomato blight as a team. It feels like it could really strengthen local bonds. But I also worry that, like many trends, it might end up being something people do in isolated pockets, more for the aesthetic or personal benefit than for genuine connection. Has anyone seen urban farming actually bring their community together, or has it felt more like a solo project? I’m curious about your experiences.
