Unexpected Recycling Wins in Unexpected Places

You never know where you’ll stumble across a clever recycling idea. Last year, while overseeing a refit on my ship, we repurposed old sail material into high-end duffel bags for the crew. Turns out, the durability was perfect, and the aesthetic caught on now we’ve got a side hustle selling them to luxury marinas.

Anyone else seen something like this? Maybe in an industry that doesn’t usually get credit for sustainability? I’m always on the lookout for creative ways to cut waste without sacrificing quality. Bonus points if it involves tech or cycling gear those are my other obsessions. What’s the most inventive recycling win you’ve come across?
