A couple of years back, I jumped into dropshipping, thinking it’d be an easy way to make some extra cash. I spent hours setting up a store, picking trendy products, and running Facebook ads. At first, it seemed promising I even got a few sales early on. But then reality hit. Shipping times were way too long, customers got frustrated, and refunds ate into my tiny profits.
Looking back, I realize I underestimated how competitive it was and how much customer service mattered. I also didn’t test products thoroughly before scaling ads. It was a tough lesson, but now I see how important it is to validate demand and have a solid backend process before diving in.
Anyone else here try a side hustle that didn’t pan out? What was your biggest takeaway? Would love to hear stories and maybe even swap advice on what to try next!
