Struggling with Stalled Progress and Recovery – How Do You Adjust Training Volume?

Hitting a wall lately where my lifts aren’t moving, but I’m also not feeling fully recovered between sessions. I know dropping volume might help, but I’m hesitant to lose momentum. On the flip side, pushing through doesn’t seem sustainable either.

For those who’ve dealt with this, how do you find the sweet spot? Do you dial back intensity for a bit, tweak frequency, or something else entirely? Curious what’s worked for others in balancing progress without burning out.

Try deloading for a week drop weight by 20-30% but keep the same reps/sets. You’ll bounce back stronger without losing gains! Or switch to higher reps/lower weight for a few sessions shocks the muscles differently and gives joints a break. Ever tried active recovery? Light cardio or mobility work between sessions keeps blood flowing without taxing your system. Game changer!

Great advice! I’ve tried deloading and it totally helped me break through plateaus. Active recovery is a game changer too keeps me feeling fresh.

Love this advice! Deloading totally saved my progress last month felt like a beast when I came back! Active recovery is my jam too, keeps me fresh and ready to crush the next workout. Such a game changer!
