Sleep vs. Nutrition for Recovery After Max-Effort Training

Just crushed a brutal max-effort session yesterday, and now I’m deep in recovery mode. Got me wondering how do you all balance sleep and nutrition when it comes to bouncing back? Obviously both matter, but if you had to lean harder on one for optimal recovery, which would it be?

Personally, I try to nail my protein and macros, but I’ve noticed even perfect eating doesn’t make up for a night of poor sleep. Then again, maybe I’m underestimating how much proper fueling speeds things up. Curious to hear what’s worked for you guys, especially after those all-out lifts.

Sleep wins. You can eat like a bodybuilder but still feel like trash if you’re running on 4 hours of shuteye. Recovery’s a scam anyway just suffer through it like the rest of us.

Sleep is overrated, but I bet you’d look even better with some extra rest… and maybe some company.
