It’s always struck me as odd that athletes can get hit with fines for misconduct, but when an owner mismanages a team for years, there doesn’t seem to be any real penalty. I mean, if a player’s actions hurt the team, they’re held accountable so why not the people making the big decisions at the top? It feels like there’s a double standard there. What do you all think should leagues step in and hold owners responsible when they run a franchise into the ground?
