Sailing, Music, and Fitness: Finding Balance on the Water

So I spend my days washing dishes and my free time either tinkering with music compositions or out on a sailboat. It’s a great life, but I’ve noticed my energy levels can really dip after a long shift, which isn’t ideal when I want to head straight to the marina or sit down to write. I’m a bit skeptical of overly complicated routines if it feels like a chore, I won’t stick with it.

I’m curious how others with active hobbies or physically demanding jobs manage their fitness. What kind of simple, effective exercises have you found that build stamina without wiping you out for the day? I’d love something that complements being on the water, maybe improving core strength for sailing or just general endurance. Also, does anyone listen to specific types of music while working out that actually helps with focus or recovery? I’m always looking for new sonic inspiration, too. Any advice from fellow sailors or musicians would be especially welcome!
