Working as a stagehand means I’m constantly moving, lifting, and burning through energy like crazy. I’ve been experimenting with different pre-show meals, but I keep running into the same problem either I’m starving by the second act or I feel way too bloated to move comfortably.
I’m looking for something that’s filling enough to keep me going through heavy lifts and quick scene changes but won’t sit like a brick in my stomach. Bonus points if it’s easy to prep ahead of time since backstage real estate is always tight. Any fellow stage crew or active folks have go-to meals that strike that balance?
(For context, I’m also into martial arts, so I’m no stranger to fueling for endurance just haven’t cracked the code for this specific grind yet.)
