So, I was watching some old street racing clips last night and it got me thinking. You see these two worlds collide all the time the high-revving, agile JDM imports and the raw, torque-heavy American muscle. On paper, it seems like a classic battle of finesse versus brute force.
I’m genuinely curious what you all think. For a real-world street race, maybe a quarter-mile or a twisty backroad, which platform tends to have the edge? Is it the lighter, turbocharged tunability of something like a Supra or Skyline, or does the instant, tire-shredding power from a modern Hellcat or a built classic just walk away with it? I know it hugely depends on the specific build and driver, but in your experience, which philosophy usually comes out on top when the lights go out?
