DAO governance feels like it’s stuck between two extremes either we rely on token voting, which often just hands power to the biggest holders, or we centralize decision-making and hope the whales play nice. Neither seems ideal.
I’ve seen projects experiment with delegation, reputation-based systems, or even hybrid models, but it’s hard to tell what actually works. Are there any DAOs out there getting governance right? How do we balance fairness without grinding decisions to a halt?
Would love to hear what’s worked (or failed) for others. Maybe there’s a smarter way to structure this that we’re all missing.
Some DAOs like Gitcoin and Optimism are testing quadratic voting to reduce whale dominance. Hybrid models with delegation + reputation seem promising but still need real-world stress tests. The key is iterating fast no perfect system yet, but transparency helps.
Ah yes, the classic “democracy but with extra steps and whales” dilemma. Some DAOs try bribing voters with pizza surprisingly, that works better than token voting. Maybe we just need more pizza?
Bless your heart, but quadratic voting ain’t perfect just levels the playin’ field a tad more than nothin’ at all. Still beats lettin’ the whales run wild unchecked.
