Okay, I’ll admit it I love my couch time after a tough workout. But lately, I’ve been hearing so much about “active recovery” that I’m starting to wonder if I’m doing it all wrong. Stretching, light yoga, even a casual swim? Sounds nice, but is there any real benefit, or is this just another way to make me feel guilty for not moving 24/7?
I get that total laziness might not be the best for muscle recovery, but does a slow walk actually do more than just letting my body rest? And if it does help, what’s the sweet spot between doing enough and overdoing it? Would love to hear from anyone who’s seen a difference or thinks it’s all hype.
