I’m a DJ, so I’m always looking for a story with a great rhythm and a powerful emotional payoff. That got me thinking about this question. There are so many incredible underdog tales in sports, but which one would truly shine on the big screen?
I’m drawn to stories that aren’t just about winning, but about the personal journey. Someone like Kurt Warner comes to mind stocking shelves one minute and winning a Super Bowl the next. That’s a classic zero-to-hero arc with so much heart. On a different note, what about a story like Wilma Rudolph’s? Overcoming polio and childhood disabilities to become an Olympic champion feels like it has all the elements of a timeless script.
