I was proofreading a piece on 18th-century fashion and got completely sidetracked by the idea of powdered wigs. It got me wondering: if you could bring back one luxury trend from history, what would it be?
I’m a history buff, so things like intricate pocket watches or handwritten correspondence on fancy paper come to mind. But I’m curious what others think. Is there something from the past you wish was still commonplace, even if just for the sheer elegance or ritual of it?
