How to Make Money from a Hobby Without Killing the Fun

I’ve been tinkering with coding and graphic design as side hobbies for a while now, and I’d love to find a way to earn a bit from them without sucking all the joy out of it. The last thing I want is to turn something I enjoy into just another job.

Has anyone found a balance here? Maybe selling templates, doing small freelance gigs on the side, or even creating tutorials? I’m curious what’s worked for others and how you’ve kept it low-pressure. Any tips on avoiding burnout while still making it worthwhile?

Would especially love to hear from folks who’ve managed to keep their hobby fun while making a little extra cash. How do you set boundaries or choose projects that don’t feel like a grind?
