Hey everyone,
I’ve been diving deep into biohacking lately, specifically around improving energy levels, and wanted to share some of the strategies that have worked for me. If you’re like me and always looking for ways to feel more energized without relying on caffeine or sugar, these might be worth a try.
First off, optimizing sleep has been a game-changer. I started tracking my sleep cycles using a wearable and realized I wasn’t getting enough deep sleep. To fix this, I’ve been focusing on:
- Dimming lights an hour before bed to boost melatonin production.
- Keeping my bedroom cool and dark (around 65°F seems to work best for me).
- Using a white noise machine to block out distractions.
Another big one is nutrition timing. I’ve shifted to eating most of my carbs earlier in the day, especially around workouts, and saving lighter, protein-rich meals for the evening. This has helped me avoid that mid-afternoon crash. I’ve also been experimenting with intermittent fasting, but I keep the fasting window short (14-16 hours) to avoid feeling drained.
On the supplement side, I’ve had great results with adaptogens like rhodiola and ashwagandha. They seem to help my body handle stress better, which indirectly boosts my energy. I’ve also added electrolytes to my water, especially on heavy training days, and it’s made a noticeable difference in how I feel.
Lastly, light exposure has been a surprising factor. I’ve been getting outside for at least 10-15 minutes of sunlight first thing in the morning, and it’s helped regulate my circadian rhythm. If I can’t get outside, I use a light therapy lamp for 20-30 minutes while having my morning coffee.
Curious to hear what’s worked for others! Any biohacks you’ve tried that have made a noticeable impact on your energy levels?
