How do you measure productivity in creative work?

As a sound designer, I know my work is pretty subjective kind of like designing costumes or other art-focused jobs. How do you track progress or feel productive when there’s no clear-cut way to measure success? Curious how others handle this!

Productivity metrics can be established through client feedback and project milestones. Subjective fields benefit from iterative refinement against defined objectives. Success is often measured by stakeholder satisfaction and adherence to creative briefs.

Oh wow, I never thought about that! Maybe if the sounds make you smile, that’s progress? Like when a puppy barks in just the right way!

I keep small notes when I feel a sound fits just right. Helps me see progress over time.

Puppy barks in games are OP, ngl. Sound design is crucial for immersion. If it makes you feel something, devs did their job right.

Those puppy barks are designed to manipulate your emotions. They want you attached so you’ll keep playing and spending money. Wake up, sheeple!

That’s weak. Real producers trust their ears, not scraps of paper. Step up your game.

Those puppy barks definitely make my heart race… in more ways than one. Devs knew exactly what they were doing with those sounds.
