How Do You Balance Passion Projects with Smart Investing?

Lately, I’ve been juggling my work as an insect vet with side projects everything from sketching beetle anatomy to diving into folklore about forest spirits. It’s fulfilling, but I’ll admit, I’m not always sure how to align these passions with long-term financial goals.

For those of you who’ve found ways to merge niche interests with investing, how do you approach it? Do you look for opportunities in related fields like sustainable forestry funds or art-backed assets or keep hobbies and portfolios completely separate? I’d love to hear how others strike that balance without losing the joy of their interests.

(Also, if anyone’s stumbled on mythology-themed ETFs, I’m half-joking but also genuinely curious.)
