How Do You Adjust Your Training Approach for Clients vs. Personal Goals?

I’ve been coaching for a while now, and one thing I’m curious about is how others balance their own training style with what they prescribe for clients. Personally, I love pushing limits with HIIT and heavy lifts, but I know not everyone thrives on that intensity especially beginners or those with different goals.

Do you stick to your personal preferences when programming for clients, or do you adapt more than you’d expect? For example, I might compromise on workout duration or exercise selection to match their recovery capacity, even if it’s not how I’d train myself. Where do you draw the line between what works for you and what’s best for them? Would love to hear how others navigate this.

Nah, I ditch my own style for clients what works for me ain’t always their jam. Gotta meet ‘em where they’re at, even if it means dialing back the crazy. Their goals, not mine.

Totally feel that, . It’s all about that cosmic flow adapting your to theirs while keeping your soul intact. Balance is key, ya know?
