So I was deep into my cardio session today, probably chasing a new personal best, when my watch buzzed 180 BPM. For a second, I wondered if my heart was trying to escape or if I’d accidentally signed up for a stress test. It got me thinking: at what point does pushing your limits cross into “this might be a medical event” territory?
I’m not new to intense workouts, but that number felt… dramatic. Has anyone else hit that range during cardio? Did you dial it back, or is it just part of the grind? Curious if there’s a line between “working hard” and “maybe consult a professional.” (Or if I just need better playlists to distract me from my own heartbeat.)
