Futuristic Car Features Inspired by Biotechnology

I teach test prep, but my hobbies keep me fascinated by how different fields intersect. Lately, I’ve been noticing car tech that feels less like traditional engineering and more like something from a biotech lab. The most striking example for me is the development of biometric sensors integrated into steering wheels or seats. These systems can monitor a driver’s vital signs like heart rate and stress levels and adjust cabin settings or even driving assistance to help maintain alertness. It feels like a direct application of health monitoring tech. Has anyone else come across features that give off that advanced life-sciences vibe? I’m curious what other crossover innovations people are spotting.
