Fueling Up for Dance Rehearsals vs. Food Tours

I’m curious how others approach eating for two very different active days. When I’m preparing for a dance rehearsal, I focus on foods that give me sustained energy and keep me light on my feet maybe some complex carbs and lean protein a couple of hours beforehand. But on a food tour day, I’m sampling all sorts of dishes, often richer or heavier, and I need to keep my energy up without feeling sluggish. What do you eat to stay energized and nimble during a long dance session, and how does that compare to when you’re out exploring and tasting lots of different foods?
