Foods to Help Regulate Body Temperature in Extreme Conditions

I’ve been spending a lot of time in environments with extreme temperatures lately both hot and cold and I’m curious if there are specific foods that can help the body adapt better. For example, are there certain meals or snacks that might help cool you down during a heatwave or keep you warm in freezing conditions? I’ve heard things like spicy foods can make you sweat more, which might help in the heat, but I’m not sure if that’s actually effective. On the flip side, are there foods that help retain heat when it’s cold? Would love to hear if anyone has tried adjusting their diet for these situations and what’s worked for them!
