Finding Strength in Unexpected Places: A Speech Therapist's Journey

So, I’ve been on a bit of a personal journey lately, trying to build more physical strength and endurance. It’s funny how it connects to everything else. In my work as a speech therapist, I see endurance in a different light the mental and vocal stamina it takes for my clients to push through a session. It makes me wonder about the parallels.

I’m curious how others weave their passions into their fitness. For instance, does anyone else find that their commitment to environmentalism influences their routine? Maybe choosing to run or cycle outdoors feels more meaningful, or perhaps there’s a sustainable angle to the gear you choose. On the flip side, as a comic fan, I love the idea of superhero perseverance. What fictional characters or stories have genuinely inspired you to push for one more rep or another mile?

And time management! That’s the eternal puzzle. Between client sessions and everything else, carving out consistent time for training is its own kind of endurance test. How do you structure your weeks to make strength work a non-negotiable part of your life without it feeling like a chore? I’d love to hear what’s worked for you.
