Finding a Balance with AI and Personal Discipline

I work in investment banking, so my schedule is pretty packed, and I’m always looking for ways to streamline things. Lately, I’ve been experimenting with a few AI tools to help build better habits, like consistent exercise and reading. The results are promising, but I sometimes get this nagging feeling that I’m just handing over my self-discipline to an algorithm.

I’m curious how others are approaching this. How do you use AI for habit-building in a way that still feels like you’re in the driver’s seat? For example, I use one app that sends me gentle, personalized reminders based on my calendar, which feels more like a nudge than a command. It’s helpful, but I wonder if there are other methods that keep that sense of personal agency strong.

What’s your take? Have you found tools that feel more like a supportive partner than a replacement for your own willpower?
