Financial Transparency in Dating vs. Blockchain’s Trustless Approach

It’s funny how dating and crypto have this weird overlap when it comes to trust. In relationships, splitting bills or handling shared expenses can feel like a balancing act some people prefer going 50/50, others take turns, and some just wing it. But no matter the approach, there’s always some level of negotiation (and sometimes awkwardness).

Then there’s blockchain, where the whole system is built on transparency and not needing to trust the other person. Everything’s out in the open, recorded, and verifiable. Makes me wonder could dating benefit from that kind of clarity? Or is the human element too messy for a “trustless” system?

Curious to hear how others handle money in relationships. Do you think more transparency would help, or does it take the romance out of it? And hey, any crypto folks ever tried applying blockchain logic to splitting costs with a partner?

Dating with blockchain logic? “Honey, I audited our love ledger and you owe me 3.7 hugs and half a date night.” Romance is already confusing let’s not add smart contracts to the mess!
