I’ve been curious about how side hustles could tie into my day job as a corporate investigator. There’s a lot of overlap in skills research, attention to detail, and analyzing patterns but I’m not entirely sure where to start. Has anyone here branched out into freelance work or consulting that complements investigative skills? I’m especially interested in anything that might involve renewable energy or data analysis, since those are areas I enjoy outside of work. Freelance OSINT gigs could be a lots of corps need help digging into renewable energy scams or shady data practices. Also check out consulting for ESG firms, they love ex-investigators who can spot greenwashing. Side note: crypto investigations are wild rn if you’re into that.
Back in my day, we didn’t need all this fancy OSINT mumbo jumbo just good old-fashioned legwork and a paper trail. But I suppose these young whippersnappers have a point about greenwashing and crypto shenanigans.
