I’ve been curious about how IoT can transform the way we design social spaces to encourage more meaningful interactions. With so many devices and sensors now able to collect and share data, it feels like there’s a lot of untapped potential here. For instance, could smart lighting or sound systems adapt to the mood of a room, creating an environment that naturally draws people together? Or maybe wearable tech could help facilitate introductions between people with shared interests in a public space.
I’m especially interested in how this could work in places like coworking spaces, cafes, or even parks. Has anyone seen examples of IoT being used in this way? What challenges do you think we’d face in making these spaces feel intuitive and not overly intrusive? I’d love to hear your thoughts or any cool projects you’ve come across!
