Ethical Investing vs. Strong Returns – How Do You Find the Balance?

It feels like every time I look into investing, there’s this tension between putting money where my values are and chasing the best returns. I’ve dabbled in ESG funds and socially responsible options, but sometimes the performance just doesn’t stack up against more traditional picks.

How do you navigate this? Are there sectors or strategies that have worked well for you without compromising on ethics? I’m especially curious about smaller companies or niche markets maybe they’re flying under the radar but still making a real impact.

And for those who’ve been at this longer, do you think the gap between ethical and high-performing investments is shrinking, or is it still a trade-off? Would love to hear what’s worked (or hasn’t) for others.

Screw the weak ESG crap. Go for renewable energy startups – they’re crushing it and actually matter. Profits AND principles, no excuses.
