Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about success stories lately, especially in the context of how we define “success.” Is it all about reaching that final goal, or is it more about the twists and turns we encounter along the way?
For me, as a medical coder, I’ve seen how rigid systems and processes can feel like they’re all about the destination—getting the right code, meeting deadlines, and ensuring accuracy. But what’s fascinating is how often the most valuable lessons come from the unexpected detours. Maybe it’s a coding error that leads to a deeper understanding of a complex diagnosis, or a miscommunication that sparks a better workflow. Those moments, while frustrating at the time, often end up being the real game-changers.
It reminds me of playing board games—sometimes the best part isn’t winning, but the hilarious missteps or unexpected strategies that emerge during the game. Or even in robotics, where a malfunction can lead to a breakthrough innovation you never saw coming.
So, I’m curious—what’s your take? Do you think success is more about the destination, or do the detours shape the journey in ways that matter just as much, if not more? Would love to hear your thoughts and any personal stories that come to mind!
