Designing Homes for Mental Wellness Through HVAC and Beyond

So I was on a call earlier (telemarketing, I know bear with me) and it got me thinking about how our environments affect us. We spend so much time tweaking our homes for comfort, like setting the perfect temperature, but what about our mental state? Could we design things like HVAC systems to quietly support our well-being, not just our physical comfort?

I’m really into green tech and public health, and I’ve been curious about this overlap. For example, could better air filtration reduce stress by cutting down allergens, or could we integrate lighting that syncs with our circadian rhythms? Maybe even using materials that dampen noise for a calmer atmosphere. I’d love to hear if anyone has tried something like this or knows of tech that helps a home feel more restorative. What small changes have made a difference for you?
