Designing a workout based on historical explorers' resilience

This is such a great topic. I love the idea of blending history with fitness. When I think about explorers, it wasn’t just about brute strength, right? It was about endurance, adaptability, and mental grit. They faced unpredictable terrain and had to keep going with limited resources.

So, for a workout, I’d focus on that unpredictability. Maybe a circuit that changes every time you never know if the next station is a heavy carry, a long row, or a balance challenge. It would force you to adapt on the fly, just like navigating unknown lands. And I’d definitely include something for sustained, steady effort, like a long hike with a weighted pack, to mimic those long treks.

What do you all think? How would you capture that spirit of perseverance in a routine? I’m curious if anyone has tried something similar.
