Creative Budget Hacks for Set Design and Everyday Repurposing

I love finding clever ways to reuse materials, whether it’s for a theater set or just cutting costs at home. One of my favorite tricks was turning old PVC pipes into modular set pieces they’re lightweight, easy to paint, and can be reconfigured for different scenes. I’ve also used thrifted bedsheets as backdrops; a little dye and some strategic lighting can make them look way more expensive than they are.

Outside of theater, I’ve repurposed an old ladder into a bookshelf and used empty coffee cans for organizing craft supplies. What’s the most creative reuse you’ve pulled off? I’m always looking for new ideas, especially ones that balance function and aesthetics. Bonus points if it’s something you’ve used in an unexpected way!
