Can Restoring Classic Cars Teach Patience Better Than Mindfulness Apps?

Lately, I’ve found myself spending weekends elbow-deep in grease, trying to bring a '67 Mustang back to life. What started as a hobby has turned into this weirdly therapeutic experience. There’s something about the slow, meticulous process aligning carburetors, hand-polishing chrome that forces you to slow down and focus in a way no meditation app ever has.

I’m curious if anyone else has noticed this. Does working on vintage cars (or any hands-on project, really) help you manage stress or build patience in a way modern tools don’t? Or am I just romanticizing the struggle of finding rare parts? Would love to hear your thoughts especially from fellow gearheads or anyone who’s swapped deep breaths for wrench turns.
