Blending Dating Insights into Skincare Formulation – Any Creative Ideas?

Lately, I’ve been curious about how the principles of dating could translate into my work as a skincare formulator. It sounds a little out there, but hear me out both fields are about understanding needs, creating attraction, and building lasting relationships (even if one is with a product!).

For example, in dating, personalization is key you tailor conversations to match someone’s interests. Could the same apply to skincare? Maybe formulating products that adapt to a customer’s unique skin concerns over time, like a serum that evolves based on feedback. Or taking cues from how dating builds trust transparency about ingredients or sharing the “story” behind a formulation to connect with users.

Has anyone else tried applying unconventional perspectives to their work? I’d love to hear any thoughts or analogies that could spark some creativity!

that’s slick treating skincare like dating. Gotta keep ‘em hooked with the right mix of mystery and trust. Maybe drop limited-edition serums like exclusive dates, keep ‘em coming back for more.
