Biofuel Drones, Ethical Coffee, and the Tax Man: A Philosophical Business Question

So, I’m deep in the weeds on a new project idea and it’s spiraled into a bit of a head-scratcher. The concept is using drones powered by sustainable biofuels to deliver ethically sourced, single-origin coffee. On paper, it ticks boxes for my interests in clean tech and big data logistics. But here’s the curveball: the deeper I get into sourcing chains and lifecycle analyses, the more I start pondering the bigger “why” of it all. It feels less like a simple startup and more like a personal quest.

My question is a bit out there, but has anyone in the blockchain or tech space ever navigated something similar? When your business model is built on a philosophical stance like reducing carbon footprint and ensuring ethical labor do the late nights spent questioning its ultimate impact count as R&D? Or is an existential crisis just the cost of doing business when you care too much? I’d love to hear if others have found a line between operational costs and, well, personal development costs.
