I’ve noticed that juggling my love for lighting design and martial arts brings a unique set of challenges when it comes to mental well-being. On one hand, lighting design is deeply creative but often involves long hours and tight deadlines, which can be draining. On the other, martial arts is physically demanding and requires discipline, but sometimes the pressure to perform can add stress instead of relieving it.
Has anyone else found that their passions, while fulfilling, sometimes create unexpected mental hurdles? How do you strike a balance between staying committed to your interests and avoiding burnout? I’d love to hear how others manage this tightrope walk.
