Balancing High-Tech Hobbies with Mental Well-Being

I spend a lot of my time in two very different worlds. My day job is all about gardening working with plants, soil, and the slow, steady rhythm of growth. But my personal passions pull me in the opposite direction; I’m fascinated by drones and genetics, fields that are all about speed, precision, and complex data. Lately, I’ve been wondering if this contrast creates any unique mental hurdles. Gardening is so grounding, but then I dive into these intense, fast-paced topics and my brain feels like it’s switching gears constantly. Has anyone else found that their high-focus technical hobbies, while fulfilling, can sometimes lead to mental fatigue or a sense of being pulled in too many directions? I’m curious how others manage to stay balanced when their interests demand such different kinds of mental energy.
