Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how working with my hands whether it’s carpentry or tinkering with a screenplay affects my mental state. There’s something meditative about the rhythm of sawing wood or the focus required to edit a scene, but I also notice how easy it is to burnout when creativity feels like work.
For those of you in similar trades or creative fields, how do you strike a balance? Do you find that physical projects recharge you, or do they sometimes add to the mental load? And when the lines blur between passion and pressure, what tricks help you step back and reset? Would love to hear how others navigate this.
