Balancing Confidence and Caution in Robotics Development

It’s fascinating how much robotics has advanced in recent years, but I’ve been wondering does our enthusiasm sometimes outpace practicality? On one hand, confidence in these systems pushes innovation forward, but on the other, there’s a real risk of leaning too heavily on tech that isn’t foolproof yet.

I’ve seen robotics transform industries, from manufacturing to healthcare, but I can’t shake the concern about what happens when these systems fail or make errors. How do we strike the right balance between embracing progress and maintaining healthy skepticism? Are there examples where over-reliance backfired, or conversely, where caution held back potential breakthroughs?

Would love to hear from others working in tech or adjacent fields how do you approach this tension in your own projects?
