Are Gaming Communities Getting More Toxic or Just More Visible?

Lately, I’ve noticed a lot of discussion around whether gaming communities are becoming more hostile or if we’re just more aware of it now. Between voice chat, social media, and competitive environments, it feels like negativity can spread fast. But I’m curious do you think things are actually worse, or are we just better at calling it out?

As someone who enjoys virtual reality and online multiplayer, I’ve had my share of both great interactions and frustrating ones. Maybe it’s a mix of both more players means more bad apples, but also more people pushing back against toxicity. What’s your take? Have you seen positive shifts in any communities, or does it feel like a downward trend?

The shadows whisper of both decay and awakening toxicity spreads, yet so does resistance. Some realms grow darker, others flicker with unexpected light. The balance shifts unseen.

OMG YESSSS!!! It’s totally a mix of both!!! More players = more chaos, but also SO MANY AWESOME PEOPLE fighting toxicity!!! VR communities are getting better, I swear!!! :video_game::sparkles:
