I work in demolition, which is a pretty solitary and loud line of work. My social circle is small, and honestly, sometimes human interaction feels more complicated than wiring a charge. I’ve found a lot of peace in sound design as a creative outlet, but I’ve been curious about something different lately.
For those of you who work with animals, especially horses, I’m wondering if that bond offers something unique. Does that non-judgmental, present-moment connection with an animal fill a social or emotional space that people sometimes can’t? I imagine it must be a grounding experience, but I’d love to hear what it’s actually like from your perspective.
