Would Nietzsche Have Called from Everest? A Thought Experiment

Imagine Nietzsche standing at the summit of Everest, oxygen-starved and frostbitten, staring into the abyss. Would he pull out a satellite phone to tell the world, or would he keep it to himself, knowing the climb was his own Übermensch moment?

I’ve been turning this over in my head partly because I love blending philosophy with adventure, but also because it makes me wonder how we assign meaning to extreme experiences. Do we share them to validate them, or is the act itself enough?

Curious to hear how others see it. If you’d conquered something monumental, would you feel the need to call someone, or would the private triumph be the whole point?
