Cold Plunges for Cardio Recovery: Underrated or Overhyped?
I’ve been experimenting with cold plunges after my runs and cycling sessions, and I’m honestly a bit torn. On one hand, I feel less sore the next day, but on the other, I’ve read some conflicting opinions about whether they actually help with cardiovascular recovery or might even blunt some of the adaptation benefits.
As a developer who sits most of the day, I’m always looking for ways to bounce back faster and feel better, so I’m really curious about real experiences. Does anyone here consistently use them and notice a clear difference in how your heart and legs feel after intense cardio? Or do you think the whole thing is kind of overrated compared to just solid nutrition and sleep? Would love to hear what’s worked for people.
