Okay, maybe it’s just me, but does anyone else get a little tired when every conversation with a crypto buddy turns into a rundown of their latest portfolio highs? Don’t get me wrong I love a good market win as much as the next person (and hey, who doesn’t want their coins to moon?). But when that’s all someone brings to the table, it starts to feel like they’re more of a walking Coinbase alert than an actual human.
I’m all for enthusiasm, but where’s the balance? Do you have hobbies outside of refreshing price charts? Ever dive into a weird folklore rabbit hole or geek out over film lighting techniques like I do? Or is the only “story” you care about the one with candlesticks?
How do you handle these conversations? Do you gently steer them elsewhere, or just nod along while secretly planning your escape? Curious if others feel the same or if I’m just being overly picky.
