I’ve been experimenting with matching my running playlist to different phases of my workout higher BPM tracks for sprints, mid-tempo for steady-state, and slower rhythms for cooldowns. It’s made sessions feel more intuitive, but I’m curious if there’s any science behind this or if others have tweaked their playlists for better results.
Does tempo actually impact endurance or recovery, or is it more about mental focus? And for recovery, would ambient or low-BPM music help relax the nervous system, or is that just placebo territory? Would love to hear how others use music to sync with their training!
