Thinking About Buying a Used Sports Car – Are Maintenance Costs a Dealbreaker?

I’ve been eyeing a used sports car for a while now something like a 370Z or maybe even an older Cayman. The idea of finally getting behind the wheel of something with a little more punch is super tempting, but I keep hearing horror stories about maintenance costs.

For those who’ve gone down this road, how bad is it really? Are we talking about occasional pricey repairs, or is it a constant money pit? I’d love to hear your experiences, especially if you’ve owned something in that range. Are there certain models that are more wallet-friendly when it comes to upkeep? Or is it just part of the sports car life?

Also, any tips on what to look out for when checking out a used one? I want to avoid ending up with a project car when I’m just looking for a fun daily driver. Thanks in advance!
