I’ve always been fascinated by how synchronized swimming blends athleticism and artistry it’s basically dance in the water, right? But here’s something that’s been on my mind: in dance, hitting your marks is crucial for timing and spacing, yet I’ve never heard of synchronized swimmers being judged on how precisely they hit their positions in the pool. Is there a reason for that?
As a pilot, I’m used to precision, and I love choreography for the same reason. So I’m curious do judges prioritize other elements over spatial accuracy, or is it just harder to measure in water? Would love to hear from anyone who knows more about the scoring side of things!
