I was scrolling through my feed the other day, and it hit me how much of it is just beautifully styled food. Those perfect avocado toasts and decadent desserts are everywhere. It got me wondering if constantly seeing these images is actually shaping how we eat, and not necessarily for the better.
From my own experience, I know a stunning photo can make me crave something I wouldn’t normally think about. But I worry the focus is so much on how a dish looks for the camera that we might be ignoring what our bodies really need over time. Are we choosing foods for their Instagram appeal rather than their nutritional value?
I’d love to hear your thoughts. Have you noticed your own choices shifting because of what’s trending visually online? How do you balance enjoying food culture on social media with making genuinely healthy decisions?
